The Circle of Colors

'Nirangal Than Vritham' in Malayalam can be translated as 'The Circle of Colors'.

In early 2002, Pradeep and me watched in awe how Sabu crafted this stunning music video out of a haunting remix version of an old Malayalam film song. I think this video did not get enough exhibition space when it was released. There was no youtube then. Everything was at the mercy of the channels.

To me, it is the best music video ever produced in Malayalam. We were all full of energy then...looking forward to change the way visuals are made...And Sabu came from this town of Irinjalakkuda and showed us a difference.

Looking back in time to the editing room, where Manohar and Sabu edited this video, I'm so proud having my name along with Pradeep's in the thanks card of the music video's title. Borrowing Sabu's own words at the end of the video, I ask myself: "In those days of the comeback, will life be happy and beautiful...?"
